Summer Solstice Kundalini Retreat at Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge, Homer
Soul Home~Returning to your source of comfort, authenticity and wildness.
Friday, June 21st through Sunday June, 23rd, 2024
Hope you can join this deeply rejuvenating experience!
Welcome!
You are warmly invited to the first Summer Solstice Kundalini Yoga Retreat at Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge and Retreat! At this full weekend Kundalini Yoga Retreat, Anna will share a midsummer’s folktale from the Northern cultures that will serve as a metaphor for exploring our way back to our soul home. We will engage in Kundalini Breathwork, warm-ups, Kriyas, deep relaxation to the symphonic gong, and guided meditations. The weekend will be planned with a rhythm that alternates between exertion and rest, activity and quiet time, connection and solitude. Participants will be immersed in the gorgeous setting of Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge & Retreat, perched atop Diamond Ridge amid wild grassy fields overlooking the Kachemak Bay. In a retreat setting you can move into a much deeper experience due to the extended quantity of time, the intentional space and the group who is going through the experience together. Cultures throughout the world have always seen solstice as a time of beauty, ceremony, celebration, merry-making and culture building. Please join in this retreat if you are longing to spend summer solstice in this way!
The 30’ Yurt makes for a light-filled and serene practice space

What to expect
-A warm, welcoming environment
-A full and updated comprehensive course schedule shared at the beginning of the weekend
-Storytelling: Anna will share a folktale from the Northern cultures as learned by Clarissa Pinkola Estés PhD. This tale will serve as a metaphor for exploring our way back to our soul home.
-Writing: We will be given a couple opportunities to reflect on this season and cycle of our life and its balance.
-Sharing: We will have a couple of opportunities to share. Sharing will take the form that looks like part quaker meeting circle and part traditional sharing circle.
-Kundalini Yoga: We will do Kundalini Yoga throughout the weekend. Our goal will be to use Kundalini Yoga to release stress and produce a state which is resourced, inspired, relaxed and supportive to our inner journeying. We will use breathwork, warm-ups, Kriyas, and meditations to stimulate the process of inner connection, health and repair.
-Time in Nature- The location of Twin Creeks Trailhead Lodge is on a ridge overlooking Homer. It is flanked by wildflower fields and forest trails. We will spend some time being quiet and receptive in nature to receive its healing gifts.
- Snack/Tea Breaks. We will have two snack/tea breaks each day. It is recommended that you stay hydrated. What you consume is up to you. Please let me know if you have any allergies or dietary restrictions before the event.
Simple Lunch Provided Each Day- A hearty Vegetarian Soup with Bread and Gluten Free crackers. Feel free to supplement if you need something additional.
Time for rest and pause- Sometimes the deep work of yoga and meditation help you to slow down to where what you really need is LESS. Less input, more integration time. To sit on the grassy lawn overlooking the bay and zone out. To lay on your yoga mat and take a nap while some meditative music plays- to talk to a tree or have a quiet chat with a friend.
-The gradual opening of trust. “Share at the speed of trust,” is a saying that I learned from a yoga studio called Dream Hive which hosts talking circles as a spiritual practice. During this experience you can reveal as much in the group as feels safe and helpful.
-5 Healing Gong Sessions
-Up to 25 Attendees
This retreat may be for you if:
-You have a special feeling during cyclical events like Solstices and Equinoxes and would like to recognize them in a ceremonial way.
-You are ready to dive deeper into a supported therapeutic process through yoga, writing, reflections.
-You have the time and finances to dedicate 2&½ days to a yoga retreat in June.
-You have some background in Kundalini Yoga or other types of yoga and somatic work.
-You love storytelling and mythology as a way to access parts of your soul’s journey.
-You crave to be in a circle of people with some structure to bring out the immense capacity for support, space holding, and healing.
This Retreat May Not be For you if:
-June is the heart of your working season and 2&½ days is too much time for you to be away from your work. Or… same if you are parenting and can’t take that much time away from your kids.
-The financial commitment of this retreat would overextend your budget.
-You are seeking mainly the physical benefits of yoga practice. This retreat will feel like a dharma talk and will have a considerable dimension of emotional and spiritual exploration.
-You have a strong trauma history and may need more individualized support to engage in inner work. 1:1 support will only be available on a very limited basis during this retreat. Namely, getting a few minutes to chat with me personally away from the group.
-You really just need more time at home to rest and unplug from the demands of your life.
